Uranus - Mankato, Minnesota

If you ever get to the Mankato, Minnesota area and are looking for one of more unique caches to find in the area, give Uranus a try.

The Uranus cache was hidden as part of the OTAK 2011 GeoFest - Geocaching in Space event in 2011 and was conceived and placed by LeapinGuy, who is also the first person we ever "discovered" caching in the wild since we were going after the same cache hidden in the Kasota Prairie Wildlife Habitat back in 2009.

The cache is located right off the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail near a parking area right off of MN HWY 22, so it is easily accessible if you don't want to walk the trail. The cache is a unique hide and has many DNF's due to it blending into its surroundings perfectly.
